Social Media Manager / Content Creator
Sugar Shack Unlimited supports a growing family of food, hospitality, and lifestyle brands, including Lil Woody’s, Hometeam, Darkalino’s, Ciudad, Fat’s Chicken & Waffles, and Mezzanotte. We are seeking a proactive, creative, and highly motivated Social Media Coordinator / Content Creator to lead and execute social content across our brands, with a primary focus on Lil Woody’s.
Approximately 50% of this role will be dedicated to Lil Woody’s, with an emphasis on Instagram and TikTok, while the remaining time will support the broader brand portfolio. This is a hands-on role for a creative self-starter who brings ideas forward, moves quickly, and executes with confidence. The ideal candidate thinks independently, contributes meaningfully to creative and strategic conversations, and takes ownership of social channels from concept through execution.
This role reports to the Creative Director and works closely with the Owner and Senior Management Team. As our company continues to expand by opening new locations and launching new businesses, this role will play a key part in supporting growth, awareness, and engagement across all platforms.
Overview
1. Content Creation and Execution
Concept, capture, and edit high-quality photo and video content with a strong emphasis on short-form video.
Create platform-native content including reels, posts, carousels, and stories for Instagram and TikTok that are engaging, culturally relevant, and aligned with brand goals.
Write and design engaging email content to support promotions, events, new store openings, and brand campaigns.
Execute content from ideation through posting, including filming, editing, writing post copy, and publishing.
2. Lil Woody’s Social Leadership
Lead day-to-day social media execution for Lil Woody’s on Instagram and TikTok.
Create and manage a consistent mix of reels, carousels, posts, and stories that highlight food, people, promotions, events, and community.
Actively support audience growth and engagement through thoughtful content planning and execution.
3. Cross-Brand Social Support
Support social media needs across Hometeam, Darkalino’s, Ciudad, Fat’s Chicken & Waffles, and Mezzanotte.
Adapt content formats, voice, and pacing to reflect each brand’s identity while maintaining consistency and quality.
Support campaigns, seasonal moments, collaborations, and new store openings.
4. Copywriting, Engagement, and Community Management
Write clear, compelling, and on-brand post copy, captions, headlines, and calls to action.
Manage and respond to direct messages, private messaging, and comments across platforms in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
Flag customer service issues, trends, or opportunities surfaced through DMs to relevant internal teams.
Foster audience engagement by encouraging conversation and community interaction.
5. Content Planning and Calendars
Build and maintain social media and marketing calendars across brands.
Balance planned content with real-time, reactive, and trend-based posts.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure content accuracy, approvals, and alignment.
6. Analytics and Performance Tracking
Track and analyze performance using Meta and TikTok analytics tools.
Monitor engagement, reach, growth, saves, shares, and content performance across reels, carousels, posts, and stories.
Use data and insights to refine content strategies and improve results over time.
7. Trend Awareness and Real-Time Responsiveness
Stay current with platform trends, cultural moments, and best practices.
React quickly to timely opportunities, current events, or news when appropriate.
Identify and execute trend participation in ways that feel authentic and on-brand.
8. Collaboration and Leadership
Work closely with the Creative Director, Owner, Senior Management, and creative partners.
Bring forward ideas, recommendations, and solutions, not just execution.
Help guide and evolve the overall social media presence across brands.
Responsibilities
1. Experience
Proven experience managing or supporting social media accounts for brands.
Strong examples of short-form video and social-first content.
2. Technical Skills
Proficiency with Instagram and TikTok, including native tools, analytics, and messaging features.
Experience editing video and images using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar.
Comfortable using scheduling tools and creating performance reports.
3. Creative and Strategic Thinking
Strong creative instincts paired with an understanding of audience behavior and platform data.
Ability to work quickly, problem-solve, and execute independently.
4. Communication and Organization
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple brands and priorities.
Qualifications
Experience in food, hospitality, nightlife, or culture-driven brands.
Photography or videography skills beyond social capture.
Experience supporting new store openings or brand launches.
Familiarity with influencer partnerships or community management.
Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments
Working knowledge of Adobe Suite
Nice to Have
Starting at $80,000+++ annually based on experience.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 to 50 hours per week
